First blog of 2009.

Hey hey. So we’ve been all over the place the past few weeks so haven’t been blogging as much, but check it out. We’re back and here’s a little look at what’s been going on in J&K world since the EP release. πŸ™‚

We got to go to Canada and go snowboarding, zip-trekking, dogsledding, snowmobiling and overall got to have a fantastic time with friends. That is also where Kate celebrated her 26th birthday…yay! Here are a few pics…

Here we are getting ready to zip-trek…it was SO cold so we were so bundled up…i mean, it was COLD.

Zip-trekking was AWESOME! Oh and we didn’t both get orange jackets on purpose…haha…jpzip1

Happy Birthday Kate! kate-bday

So Canada was awesome and after that we went to the lovely Los Angeles for a few days before each heading home for Christmas. Kate made her way to Chicago and Jill went to New Hampshire…both places were cold and snowy. It was good to be with family and see some old friends. Here is a picture outside of Jill’s house in NH taken over Christmas…brrr…nhsnow1

Although the snow is pretty and lovely and everything nice (sense the sarcasm here) it was pretty exciting that we got to go celebrate the start of 2009 in warm and sunny Mexico! Here are some pictures of the Mayan ruins and some other cool stuff… mayanmexicomexico

We had an awesome time. We’re really glad to be back in Nashville too though. We’ve been writing a lot and are excited about the new song on the 17th…only 3 days away now. Get ready. πŸ™‚

Peace out.

  5. Erin Says:

I was just wondering what happened to you girls. Chicago is still snowy and cold Kate, just fyi. I don’t understand why they don’t shovel the sidewalks downtown. It’s very difficult to get to class when you’re trudging through a mess of slushy snowness. Mexico looks lovely. Happy late bday Kate! Zip-trekking looks like a blasty blast. I can’t wait for the new song!!!!

  8. Jennifer Says:

Ah I’m jealous I love zip treks/zip wires, terrified of heights but I love those. High wires scare me though (the ones that are like an obstacle course on a wire high in the air)
Glad to hear you had fun though, such a good way to start 2009!
    xx Jen

  9. Panalee Says:

Looks like y’all had an awesome holiday season. I’m not sure about zip-trekking…oh it looks super fun (love the pics) but I’m not sure I can get over the fact that I might fall down and die…I have a little fear of heights so…maybe someday πŸ™‚

Glad to read up on what y’all have been up to and I hope your 2009 is even better than your 2008. Can’t wait til’ the 17th πŸ˜‰

wow. complete polar opposite weather conditions- Canada and Mexico- dang! haha. what you call zip-trekking (i call it zip-lining) is SO much fun! i think it is scarier climbing the tree to zip off!

glad you guys had fun and can’t wait for saturday!!!

  13. Kelly Says:

Welcome home ladies…you have been missed.

Heard the weather in Canada was 30 below…yikes!! I love snow…but have no desire to ever be in that frigid of conditions. As for Mexico…well done. What a way to start the new year. I’m heading to warmer climates soon myself.

    Looking forward to the 17th…

    Cheers!!!

  14. M Says:
