Houses of Hope Africa Website Launch

The Houses of Hope Africa website has launched!

Many of you have asked about donating to the orphanage that we visited in South Africa and we are proud to tell you now you can.   The Houses of Hope are built and run under the non-profit organization African Leadership Development and so all of your donations are tax deductible. You can donate through a Paypal account or using a credit/debit card.

We will be updating the website regularly with updates on the children, more pictures, some video footage of our time with them in March, and some creative ways you can help support the Houses of Hope children. So, visit the site today but also keep checking back…you’ll want to bookmark this address:

We wish that each of you reading this could stand in front of one of these kids–they are truly remarkable and radiate joy and hope despite their circumstances. They exude love.

Thank you for your interest in these kids.

Much love,

Thanks for the info. Just looking at the pictures of y’all with those kids touched my heart, and if y’all as busy as you are can take the time out of your busy schedules to spend time with them and make their day, the least I could do is donate 🙂

I look forward to reading the updates, and Kate, tell your dad he is an amazing man for the work he does!

I’m on the board of a Children’s Home in Kenya. I’m so glad you got to experience the true beauty that is exuded through the eyes of the children of Africa. They have so little, but you’d never know it from their smiles and their sense of love. The time I spend with the kids is priceless. I am certain you know exactly how I feel. I am also certain that you all gave more than your time. 🙂

    Many thanks…

    Hey J & K

I was born, bred and still live in SA and appreciate the attention you guys have brought to the plight of these kids, even though they are but a drop in the ocean when compared to the number of Aids orphans in our country.

The suffering of children, that prevails in so many forms in this beautiful country, is a scourge we should not have to live with and which we must NOT TOLERATE. I believe that we are failing our children dismally – instead our government chooses to spend (and will lose) BILLIONS of Rands hosting a Soccer World Cup instead of taking care of the basic needs of the people. The National Lottery Fund, that is supposed to be for the sole allocation to charity, donates R1 000 000 to funding the national soccer team’s training camp in a foreign country – this when causes such as Houses of Hope (and many, many others) spend years trying to justify a donation of a mere morsel of that amount!

So glad you, KC and the gang did not forget the “forgotten continent” and we hope to have “y’all” back really soon!

PS: you guys are AMAZING singers – was extremely priviledged to see you perform in Cape Town – WOW!!!!!!! Kelly was absolutely mind-blowing – truly one of the best & most talented vocalists I believe most of us will experience in our lifetimes!
